Mrs. Lori Ogden Dear

Mrs. Lori Ogden Dear began her educational career at Wayne County High School in the Fall of 2002. Mrs. Dear spent 17 years in the English Department serving as a teacher, department head, and collaborative leader. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Education from Troy State University, and an Educational Specialist in Secondary English Education from Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Dear is pursuing her school counseling certification and one day hopes to become a licensed counselor as well. In 2019, Mrs. Dear joined the WCHS School Counseling Department serving primarily seniors. She truly enjoys empowering students to reach and see their full potential as they take the next steps into adulthood.

Fun Fact: Mrs. Dear is known as the school counseling resident “nerd” and loves to read. She also is a super fan of the cult classic television show Friends.
