WCHS Work-Based Learning/Youth Apprenticeship Program Awards Luncheon

WBL Luncheon

Fifty Wayne County High School students participating in the Work-Based Learning/Youth Apprenticeship Program were honored and recognized at their annual WBL/YAP Employer-Employee Appreciation Luncheon at Coastal Pines Technical College on Tuesday, April 9.

Over the course of the year, students in WBL/YAP work in local business, industry, or agricultural sites where they gain real-life experience that allows them to apply academic and technical skills and develop their employability.

Judy Beaver, WBL/YAP Coordinator, expressed her gratitude for the many local employers who take an interest in mentoring and developing the talents and skills of the community’s students.
