Please make sure your child is up to date on their immunizations.
~Children ages four to six are due for boosters of four vaccines: TDaP (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis), chickenpox, MMR and polio.
~Older children (pre-teens and teens) need TDaP and MCV (meningococcal) vaccines.
New for the 2014-2015 academic year, Georgia Department of Public Health Rule (511-2-2) requires all students born on or after January 1, 2002 entering or transferring into 7th grade and any new entrant entering into 8th -12th grades in Georgia provide proof of an adolescent pertussis (whooping cough) booster vaccination (TDaP) and an adolescent meningococcal vaccination (MCV).
