science

Wayne County High School is excited to institute a change in the progression of science classes, effective for the 2026-2027 school year. Moving forward, students will progress through science classes in the following order: Physical Science, Biology, option to choose between Chemistry or Environmental Science, Human Anatomy. This progression will ensure that all students have the appropriate pre-requisites needed for success at each level of the science progression and will provide student choice opportunities so that future plans and goals can be taken into consideration when determining appropriate course selection. Additionally, WCHS will continue to offer AP level science classes for students with an interest in the science field or students who have future goals of pursuing careers in this area. Counselors and administrators will be available throughout the scheduling season and at academic scheduling sessions to provide assistance navigating this change and to address other scheduling questions.
