OES celebrated Arbor Day with the City of Odum by planting a tree in front of the school.

Congratulations to Turner and Maggie! Turner won the OES Spelling Bee and Maggie was the OES Spelling Bee alternate. Turner placed fourth at the Wayne County Spelling Bee competition. Awesome Job!

Several classes enjoyed a story read by Mr. Joe McPipkin ,District 1 representative of the Wayne County Board of Education. Red Ribbon Week activities at OES include guest readers, dress up days and other activities provided by the school counselor.
The Scholastic Book Fair is at OES in the media center October 20-28th. Christmas is just around the corner and books make great Christmas gifts. Just a reminder that you can set up an ewallet online for your child, so they do not have to carry cash to school. To set up the ewallet go to https://www.scholastic.com/bf/odumelementaryschool. Once the account is set up online, grandparents and other family members can contribute to the child's account. All the profit goes back to funding books and activities for the media center.
