On Thursday, September 14, 2023, the Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Division celebrated the inaugural Cafeteria Award of Excellence recipients. The award distinguishes the commitment to serving quality school meals and providing excellent customer service while maintaining program integrity.
Georgia State School Superintendent Richard Woods and State School Nutrition Director Dr. Linette Dodson presented each winning school with a commemorative banner to hang in their cafeterias.
Wayne County High School was one of only thirteen schools in Georgia to be recognized at the National School Lunch Week Luncheon held in Macon.
Congratulations to Mrs. Sandra Bell, (Wayne County High School Cafeteria manager) and the entire nutrition staff.
