The Wayne County School System is partnering with SWA Connect to offer every student in our school system a free Android tablet with free Internet service. It may sound like a gimmick or something that is too good to be true, but it is not. The devices are being made available through the Affordable Connectivity Program and because every student in Wayne County receives free/reduced lunch, all are eligible to participate. All that you would need to do to request one is complete the information on this link: https://myacpinternet.com/WCSS. No salesman will contact you and your personal information will not be shared with anyone beyond SWA Connect. If you have multiple children in our school system, you may request a device for each of them. A separate registration is required for each child. Once the device arrives, it is yours to keep. It should take you no more than a few minutes to complete the registration information. The device(s) will be delivered to the school system and a representative from WCSS will contact you to pick it up. If you do not feel comfortable entering the last four digits of a social security number (or if you do not have those numbers available), you may enter zeros in those blanks.
Registration:
- Click on the https://myacpinternet.com/WCSS link.
- Choose Free & Reduced Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program and click Next.
- Enter the name of your child's school and click Next.
- Enter YOUR first, middle, and last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your SSN (or 0000).
- Click Yes to order the device on behalf of a dependent who attends school in Wayne County, and enter THE CHILD'S first, middle, and last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your SSN (or 0000), and click Next.
- Enter your contact information and click Next. Please enter the email address and/or cell number through which you would like us to contact you when it is time to pick up your device.
- If you agree to the Disclosure terms, click the box indicating that you have read and understood the disclosures, and click Submit.
You should be hearing from a representative from the Wayne County School System within a few days to pick up your device.
