The Wayne County School District invites representatives of private schools and home school programs located in Wayne County to participate in consultation meetings regarding special education services for parentally placed private school and home-schooled students with disabilities. Topics will include Child Find (identifying and evaluating students with suspected disabilities), equitable services under IDEA, use of federal proportionate share funds, and special education services for the upcoming school year. Meeting Dates for the 2026-27 school year will be Monday, August 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.; Friday, November 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.; and Thursday, February 4, 2027, at 1:00 p.m., at the Wayne County Board of Education Curriculum Room located at 710 W.
